Introducing... Petite Tulip Drop Pendent.
I love this little pendent, it's very sweet & perfect for so many gifts and occasions! The first Tulip Drop Pendent was crafted from yellow gold for a special 1st birthday. With this in mind I chose a fine chain to suspend the pendent, and used my most petite briolette rock crystal.... et voila!
First, each petal needs to be shaped perfectly and emeried smooth. Next the briolette is fitted to the tulip cap - there is a pin that goes down inside the top of the crystal to ensure the bond is strong.
Once the tulip cap is fitted to the crystal, the beauty is exposed with a polish, and final polish. The high lustre comes through and both the metal and the crystal sparkle!
The last step is to suspend the pendant on the chain, I chose a fine curb link chain which is fine visually but still dense and strong. Once the chain is threaded through the pendant loop, I re-solder the chain end on to guarantee it will not slip off.
